Let's Get Ready To See The World

Travel has always been a passion for me but let's have an honest conversation. It can be a lot of work. Everything from planning to packing and ensuring that everything goes smoothly.

Give yourself some grace!

I love watching YouTube videos on professional travel bloggers sharing their must-haves (that typically have an affiliate link) that they typically do not use or use maybe once in a blue moon.

I am just starting and I am noticing while it is so convenient to have those items, you can live with some if not most of them depending on where you are going.

Here are some tips to help you when you travel to an unfamiliar location:

- Google It!

Even while things are constantly changing while we are in the midst of the pandemic, there is someone who has already done it. Of course, you can always reach out to me (your neighborhood-friendly travel agent) but I understand that you may not know me yet.

Be sure to focus on YouTube videos that are recent and by recent, I referring to 2021 and after. Still need help? Email me, I got you.

- Pinterest Is Your Friend, Not Your Enemy

If you are someone who is a visual learner, you will love Pinterest! Yea, it is an online scrapbook but it is so much more. If you just open your mind and dig a little bit, there are pins to help you budget for your vacay as well as pack. This is a "work smarter, not harder" moment. I am in the middle of using a pin to help me plan my vacation for my 30th birthday. (I'll keep you posted.)

- Plan As Much As You Can

The key to a successful vacation is simply planning. I know you are giving me nothing but sass but you would be very surprised at how many people just don't follow this simple step. Even for a quick staycation, just plan two to three major activities and enjoy the day. Depending on where you live, it is hard to just create a purely spontaneous day where you get a reservation for that coveted restaurant and be moved to the first in line for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not impossible. Just hard. Take the pressure off by planning a few things but truly experience the day. I can promise you the highlight of your day will happen when you aren't even trying.

I hope some of these quick tips help.

If you would rather have someone do all the planning for you, feel free to make an appointment with me.
